IRS FORM 2848

FAMILY OWNED TAX DEBT SETTLEMENT BUSINESS SINCE 1977!

Before we can contact the IRS on your behalf we need to submit IRS form 2848.  If you are married and have a joint liability, a Power of Attorney will need to be filed for each spouse.

Once the IRS puts the Power of Attorney in their system, they will communicate all correspondence to both you as well as us.  Clients think that once a Power of Attorney has been accepted, all correspondence would only come to their IRS resolution representative.  The IRS wants you to know everything that your representative is getting.  That is their way of guaranteeing that they are saying the same thing to you as well as us.

Most clients keep their Power of Attorney on file long after the settlement work is completed.  Should any other matters come up afterwards the IRS will continue to contact us rather than you.
